Privacy
This website is run by Ironstone Web Design. This page explains what happens to the details you send me.
The contact form
When you send the form, I get your name, your email address or phone number, and your message. I only use them to reply to you and talk about your website. I don't share them with anyone, and I won't add you to a mailing list.
Messages are kept on this website's server and in my email for as long as we're in touch about your project. If you'd like them deleted, ask and I'll delete them.
To stop spam, the form keeps a scrambled version of your internet address for an hour. It can't be turned back into the real address.
The client portal
If you're a client, I keep an account for you in the client portal with your name, email address (if you gave me one), your orders, hosting details, website previews and agreements. Your password is stored in a scrambled form that can't be turned back into the password.
When you sign an agreement, I record the name you typed, the date and time, your internet address and the name of your web browser, as evidence that you signed it. Signed agreements are kept for as long as the work or hosting they cover continues, and for six years afterwards in case they're needed for tax or legal reasons.
Signing in to the portal uses a cookie that keeps you signed in. It's deleted when you close your browser or sign out.
Cookies and tracking
Apart from the portal's sign-in cookie, this site doesn't use cookies, analytics or adverts. The demo sites on the Work pages may remember things like your text size or what you typed into a calculator, but only in your own browser.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete anything I hold about you through the contact form. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
