Campervan travel blog

A couple about to set off round the UK and Europe in their campervan wanted a blog they could post to from the road. They also wanted it to be useful to other people travelling the same way, so readers would keep coming back.

What I built

  • Pages, stories, photo galleries and video, all added and edited from their admin page
  • A map with a pin for every place they've stayed, which readers can filter by campsite, park-up, pub or free spot
  • Calculators for the Schengen 90/180-day rule, fuel costs, payload, battery and solar, and bridge heights
  • Speed limits and driving rules for European countries, and a checklist for before you set off
  • Reader accounts, comments and an email newsletter
  • A small game where you drive their van and dodge things
  • Options for bigger text, higher contrast and a dyslexia-friendly font

Reader accounts, comments and the newsletter are switched off in this copy.
